Overview
You will own patient care delivery as a CNA in the Float Pool at AdventHealth, covering acute hospital units across Shawnee Mission. You will perform vital signs, document in the electronic medical record, and respond to clinical emergencies under licensed nurse direction. The Float Pool requires 1-2 years+ acute hospital experience and a state-issued CNA License, offering schedule flexibility and exposure to diverse units. What You'll Do8
- 1Perform vital signs and document them accurately in the electronic medical record for assigned patients.
- 2Assist licensed nurses with patient care tasks, including hygiene, mobility, and comfort measures.
- 3Report patient status changes and procedure results to the care team immediately.
- 4Document all care and procedures per department policy, ensuring compliance.
- 5Respond appropriately within scope during clinical emergencies, supporting the team.
- 6Participate in performance improvement activities and support quality standards.
- 7Adapt to different units and patient populations as part of the Float Pool.
- 8Maintain BLS certification and follow infection control protocols.
Requirements6
- 1High School Graduate or equivalent (Required).
- 21-2 years+ acute hospital CNA experience (Float Pool requirement).
- 3State-issued CNA License (Preferred, but required for Float Pool).
- 4BLS - CPR Cert (Required).
- 5CPCT/A or EMT certification (Preferred).
- 61+ year applicable PCT experience (Preferred).
