Overview

Wings Credit Union seeks a Fitness and Wellbeing Instructor to own daily operations of our onsite Fitness Centers, including 6035 Fitness Center and LiveWise Fitness Center. You will coordinate wellness programs, teach group classes, and deliver personal training and fitness assessments. Part-time schedule up to 30 hours per week. This role merges responsibility for the wellness portal, equipment safety, and monthly reporting with direct member engagement. What You'll Do9

  • 1Oversee daily fitness center operations, ensuring safe and high-quality service delivery.
  • 2Direct Fitness Specialists and contractors, providing guidance and support.
  • 3Update and maintain the wellness portal and other wellness technology platforms.
  • 4Coordinate physical well-being programs in collaboration with the Manager, focusing on exercise, nutrition, and preventive care.
  • 5Teach and create group exercise classes, both virtual and in-person, aligning with wellness programming.
  • 6Provide personal training, conduct fitness assessments, and lead equipment orientations.
  • 7Plan and promote health events such as fitness challenges, wellness fairs, and health screenings.
  • 8Offer nutritional consultation and wellness coaching to members.
  • 9Report monthly on fitness facility statistics and ensure equipment safety is escalated appropriately.

Requirements9

  • 14+ years combined experience in a fitness center or wellness coaching environment.
  • 21+ years group fitness instruction experience.
  • 3Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Sports Management, or related discipline preferred.
  • 4Current CPR/AED and First Aid certifications upon hire.
  • 5Nationally accredited Personal Training or Group Fitness certification within 90 days of hire.
  • 6Knowledge of lifestyle, diet, and the human body, plus HIPAA privacy laws.
  • 7Strong written and verbal communication skills, with ability to build reports and convey information.
  • 8Advanced knowledge of group fitness techniques and ability to modify exercises for participants.
  • 9Ability to manage media systems in the fitness center, including television and radio.
