Financial Analyst GrayMatter Robotics
Overview
Head of Finance at GrayMatter Robotics owns departmental spend discipline and ensures accurate data feeds for the financial model. You will stay close to every departments spend, track specific pools, reconcile budgets, and prepare recurring summaries. This role uses AI tools to automate tracking and identifies ways to streamline reporting while collaborating across teams.
What You'll Do10
- 1Make bi-weekly rounds with every department to check in on spend, answer questions, and catch issues before they become problems.
- 2Track specific spend pools against budget and flag variances to the Head of Finance as soon as they show up.
- 3Feed accurate, up-to-date department spend data into the company`s core financial model.
- 4Reconcile actual department spend against budget and forecast on a recurring basis.
- 5Follow up with department leads on outstanding invoices, purchase orders, and budget questions.
- 6Maintain organized, accurate spend records across departments in GMR`s financial systems.
- 7Prepare recurring summaries of department spend trends for the Head of Finance.
- 8Support the Head of Finance with ad hoc analysis and reporting requests as they come up.
- 9Use AI tools to automate recurring spend tracking and reporting tasks, creating more time for the follow-up that actually requires a human.
- 10Identify opportunities to streamline how spend is tracked and reported across departments.
Requirements11
- 1Bachelor`s degree in Finance Accounting Economics Engineering or a related field.
- 22 to 3 years of experience in financial analysis modeling and forecasting within a corporate FP&A investment banking or consulting environment.
- 3Advanced proficiency in Excel financial modeling and data analysis tools.
- 4Demonstrated use of AI tools for creative problem solving beyond basic document review or validation.
- 5Strong expertise in cash flow management and working capital optimization.
- 6Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information in an understandable manner.
- 7Proven track record of managing multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment.
- 8Experience with financial reporting tools and ERP systems.
- 9Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively across multiple teams.
- 10Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment with quickly changing priorities.
- 11Authorization to work in the United States and maintain ongoing work authorization from time of hire through the duration of employment.
