Field Technician, DME Mobility & Elder Care Equipment
Overview
DME field technician will own delivery, setup, and servicing of mobility equipment for elderly patients in the Clarkston, GA area at a growing organization. You will start in the warehouse and advance to mastery of advanced mobility products including power and manual wheelchairs. You will collaborate with administration and care teams to ensure safe, compliant, and compassionate service at patient sites.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build and deliver mobility equipment to patients and facilities
- 2Assemble, install, and adjust wheelchairs and power mobility devices
- 3Troubleshoot basic electrical and mechanical issues with guidance
- 4Document equipment status and discrepancies for patient records
- 5Coordinate with administration to ensure timely patient care and safety standards
- 6Inspect and maintain tools, safety gear, and work areas
- 7Deliver outstanding customer service while interacting with elderly clients
- 8Notify administration of any equipment or documentation discrepancies
- 9Receive, un-crate, assemble and dispose of crate material per safety standards
- 10Complete assignments with minimal supervision within set timelines
Requirements10
- 1Must have clean driving record and valid driver’s license
- 2Comfortable interacting with elderly patients and families
- 3Basic computer skills and MS Office knowledge
- 4Ability to follow instructions and work with limited supervision
- 5Familiarity with electric motors and basic troubleshooting is a plus
- 6Professional appearance, punctuality, reliability, and good communication
- 7Ability to receive, un-crate, assemble, and dispose of crate materials safely
- 8Verifiable employment references
- 9DME experience is a plus
- 10Must pass background checks as required by administration
