Overview
You will deliver, install, and instruct patients on medical equipment like wheelchairs, oxygen concentrators, and hospital beds across the Bay Area. You will own the equipment lifecycle from delivery to return, ensuring each unit is clean and ready. You will troubleshoot issues on-site and maintain accurate inventory records. This role combines hands-on patient interaction with operational precision, perfect for someone who thrives on mobility and service.
What You'll Do8
- 1Deliver wheelchairs, walkers, oxygen concentrators, and hospital beds to patient homes or facilities.
- 2Install and demonstrate equipment use to patients and caregivers, addressing questions on the spot.
- 3Return and clean equipment, performing basic maintenance to keep units in ready condition.
- 4Maintain real-time inventory logs in the field, tracking out-for-delivery and returned units.
- 5Troubleshoot equipment issues on-site, applying practical fixes to minimize downtime.
- 6Coordinate daily delivery routes to ensure timely arrivals and efficient use of driving hours.
- 7Document each interaction and equipment status in the company system for accurate tracking.
- 8Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clinical staff to escalate complex patient needs.
Requirements8
- 11+ years in medical equipment delivery, setup, or repair.
- 2Valid driver's license and clean driving record for vehicle operation.
- 3Physical strength to lift and maneuver equipment up to 50 lbs.
- 4Excellent communication skills for patient-facing interactions.
- 5Proven inventory management skills in a logistics or healthcare setting.
- 6Time management ability to handle multiple deliveries and returns daily.
- 7Comfort with basic hand tools for equipment assembly and minor repairs.
- 8High school diploma or equivalent; CPR certification a plus.
