Overview
The Field Installation Software Engineer will provide technical oversight on custom applications installation integration and launch support for clients. This role involves solving complex technical problems across all phases of product design installation and support. You will collaborate with project management teams to create detailed project plans and manage Jira ticket assignments. The position requires hands-on involvement in system configuration operating system deployment application software development and customer acceptance testing.
What You'll Do11
- 1Work closely with project management teams to build detailed and thorough project plans
- 2Bridge knowledge gaps between field deployment and custom development through collaboration with engineering teams
- 3Manage Jira ticket assignments to engineering for feature development bug fixes and configuration updates
- 4Create low-level design documentation supporting system configuration
- 5Install operating systems layered products and application software
- 6Partner with engineering to develop and manage customer acceptance test plans
- 7Write and manage support tickets during testing installation and integration processes
- 8Maintain customer profiles in SalesForce including contacts software versions and hardware inventory
- 9Isolate and resolve software system defects directly on customer systems
- 10Improve delivery processes by working with management and other teams
- 11Develop ansible playbooks for automation tasks
Requirements11
- 1Computer Science or technical degree with equivalent experience
- 2Proven Tier 2 and above customer project support experience in telecommunications IT vendor-side roles
- 3Comprehensive telecom network knowledge including IMS protocols such as SIP ENUM DIAMETER SS7 Sigtran
- 4In-depth knowledge of DNS ENUM NP CRE SRP STP HSS HLR products
- 5Extensive experience in virtual environments like VMware KVM OpenStack
- 6Expertise in Linux-based operating systems
- 7High accuracy and attention to detail with strong ethical standards
