Field & Events Marketing Manager - Lumafield
Overview
You will own the planning and execution of Lumafield's events where customers, prospects, and the media experience our technology. You lead major industry trade shows and company-hosted events, from strategy to onsite delivery. Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, and Product teams to build programs that drive pipeline and thought leadership. This role stands out because it blends strategic program design with hands-on execution, including technical products and executive engagement.
What You'll Do10
- 1Own Lumafield’s calendar of trade shows, conferences, and field events, deciding where to participate and how to show up.
- 2Lead major trade shows end-to-end, including sponsorship, contracts, budgets, booth design, vendors, logistics, and onsite execution.
- 3Develop creative event concepts that make Lumafield memorable in crowded environments, using 3D demos and CT scanning.
- 4Build an events program beyond trade shows: executive roundtables, customer dinners, open houses, and partner programs.
- 5Treat events as integrated campaigns, partnering with Demand Gen, Product Marketing, and Social on promotion and follow-up.
- 6Secure speaking opportunities for executives and customers at key industry events.
- 7Partner with Sales and Salesforce to set event goals, prioritize accounts, and measure pipeline influence.
- 8Manage event budgets, negotiate contracts, and reconcile expenses.
- 9Create repeatable playbooks and templates for scalable event execution.
- 10Travel to events (~25-30%) and handle onsite issues with resourcefulness.
Requirements10
- 13+ years managing marketing events, field marketing, or experiential marketing.
- 2Proven track record executing complex trade shows or conferences from planning to onsite.
- 3Exceptional organizational skills managing budgets, vendors, and multiple stakeholders.
- 4Strategic and hands-on, comfortable with both event concept and logistics like shipping and setup.
- 5Understand how events drive brand, pipeline, and content results.
- 6Clear communicator in writing and in person, creating easy-to-follow plans.
- 7Collaborative, working across Marketing, Sales, Product, and Engineering.
- 8Fast and resourceful in a startup environment where priorities shift.
- 9Proactive risk identification and problem-solving.
- 10Willing to work in-person at San Francisco headquarters and travel 25-30%.
