What You'll Do10

  • 1Build and perform residential fiber installations, service calls, and repairs to meet quality standards
  • 2Perform fiber splicing, cable routing, and network testing to verify operation and signal performance
  • 3Install configure and replace telecommunications equipment including routers and network devices when required
  • 4Diagnose and resolve connectivity issues using testing equipment and troubleshooting techniques
  • 5Build and maintain underground or aerial cable pathways following established procedures
  • 6Accurately record work, materials, and testing results in the reporting system
  • 7Follow OSHA safety requirements and company policies while working in the field
  • 8Maintain tools equipment and vehicles in safe working condition
  • 9Communicate installation updates and completed work to customers
  • 10Collaborate with supervisors and technicians to complete projects safely and on schedule

Requirements5

  • 1Previous experience in fiber optic installation telecommunications or related technical field preferred
  • 2Familiarity with fiber optic infrastructure cable routing network setup and service activities
  • 3Ability to safely operate standard field tools and equipment used for installation maintenance and repair
  • 4Basic understanding of networking concepts internet connectivity and customer premises equipment
  • 5Experience with low-voltage systems troubleshooting techniques and field diagnostics is a plus
