What You'll Do8
- 1Perform ribbon fiber splicing, termination, and testing for new and existing installations.
- 2Install, terminate, and troubleshoot Cat6A structured cabling systems to ensure optimal performance.
- 3Conduct fiber certification and copper cable testing using Fluke test equipment.
- 4Read and interpret cabling layouts, drawings, and installation documentation.
- 5Troubleshoot and repair fiber optic systems to minimize downtime and ensure reliability.
- 6Install conduit, pull cable, and mount network equipment as required.
- 7Document work performed, including test results and installation records.
- 8Adhere to safety regulations and company standards while working at heights and in confined spaces.
Requirements7
- 1High school diploma or GED required.
- 21+ years hands-on experience with fiber splicing, termination, and testing.
- 3Familiarity with telecommunications standards and best practices.
- 4Ability to operate specialized tools and equipment, including Fluke testers.
- 5Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- 6Valid driver's license and ability to travel as needed.
- 7Physical ability to lift, climb, and stand for extended periods, and work in varying weather conditions.
