Family Nurse Practitioner, FNP Primary Care
Overview
Family Nurse Practitioner will own full-scope primary care for a diverse patient panel at Clinica de Hispanos, seeing 15-20 patients daily. You will diagnose, treat, and prescribe across all ages, with a focus on preventive care and chronic disease management. Work alongside a bilingual care team and collaborating physicians in an onsite clinic in Kansas City. This contract role requires Spanish fluency and offers the chance to serve a tight-knit Hispanic community.
What You'll Do7
- 1Perform comprehensive physical exams and health histories for patients of all ages, ordering and interpreting labs and imaging.
- 2Diagnose acute and chronic conditions, then prescribe medications and therapies within Missouri state regulations.
- 3Drive patient education on diabetes, hypertension, and preventive screenings to build long-term wellness.
- 4Collaborate with supervising physicians on complex cases and coordinate specialist referrals when needed.
- 5Document every encounter in the EHR system with accuracy and speed.
- 6Manage a full schedule of same-day and scheduled appointments, triaging urgent needs.
- 7Lead follow-up care for chronic disease patients, adjusting treatment plans based on progress.
Requirements7
- 1Master’s or DNP from an accredited FNP program.
- 21+ years of clinical experience in an outpatient or primary care setting.
- 3FNP-BC or FNP-C certification through ANCC or AANP.
- 4Valid RN and APRN licenses in Missouri.
- 5Current BLS certification; ACLS preferred.
- 6Native or professional fluency in Spanish.
- 7Strong communication skills and a patient-first approach.
