Facilities Technician II Sterile, GMP pharma & lab equipment maintenance
Overview
This role owns preventive and predictive maintenance for lab and facility equipment at scale in a sterile manufacturing environment. You will diagnose electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, and air compression issues, performing repairs to minimize downtime. You will collaborate with operations engineering, quality assurance, and regulatory teams to ensure safety, compliance, and continuous improvement. This role offers hands on troubleshooting with a structured maintenance program and opportunities to influence maintenance strategy.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build preventive maintenance charts and document data for predictive maintenance on lab equipment
- 2Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC systems in labs and facilities
- 3Identify facilities issues and chart trends to drive predictive maintenance actions
- 4Coordinate with QA and regulatory teams to maintain equipment logs, calibration records, and validation reports
- 5Respond to breakdowns promptly to minimize production downtime
- 6Collaborate with production personnel to minimize disruptions during repairs
- 7Support calibration and testing procedures to ensure accurate operation and regulatory compliance
- 8Conduct regular checks of temperature, pressure, speed, and other parameters to verify equipment performance
- 9Assist in cross functional improvement projects to enhance efficiency and cost savings
- 10Stay updated with industry trends and best practices for pharmaceutical equipment maintenance
Requirements5
- 1High school diploma or equivalent
- 23+ years of industry experience in maintenance or engineering in a related field
- 3Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, maintain, and operate advanced technical equipment in a related industry
- 4Knowledge of PLC systems
- 5Knowledge of CMMS systems
