Fabrication Shop Project Manager, AutoCAD & ERP Experience
Overview
Owns fabrication project delivery in a shop environment executing designs to ISO 9001 standards and ESG goals. Partners with fabrication, engineering, quality, and supply chain to ensure safe, on time, within budget outcomes. Leads data collection, scheduling, and optimization of shop layouts to improve efficiency and safety while coordinating with vendors and customers. This role blends technical problem solving with cross functional leadership to drive measurable improvements.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build and maintain fabrication schedules and labor loading plans to meet milestones
- 2Design and optimize fab shop layouts and material handling to improve safety and efficiency
- 3Source materials and coordinate with vendors to secure required parts
- 4Review drawings and BOMs with the shop team for manufacturability and fit
- 5Track fabrication hours against budgets and report variances
- 6Coordinate with QA/QC to address non conformance and issue NCRs
- 7Lead shop meetings on schedules design changes and resource needs
- 8Escalate risks early and communicate status to upper management
- 9Advise leadership on fabrication status and safety compliance
- 10Collaborate with engineering to implement process improvements and cost controls
Requirements5
- 1Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or chemical engineering or related field
- 2Minimum of 5 years directly related experience
- 3Strong ability to interpret design drawings and project specs
- 4Proven problem solving and decision making in non standard situations
- 5Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

$90 - $130k per year
