Extraction Technician, CO2 Cannabis Extraction
Overview
You'll own end-to-end extraction and refinement for Curaleaf's cannabis concentrates in a C1D1 lab. You'll operate CO₂ extraction systems, short path distillation, and rotary evaporators, producing premium extracts at scale. You'll join a team of specialists committed to GMP compliance and safety, backed by a global cannabis leader. This role stands out for its hands-on technical depth and direct impact on product quality.
What You'll Do8
- 1Operate CO₂ extraction and refinement equipment, including solventless systems, short path distillation, and rotary evaporators
- 2Prepare biomass by grinding and packing dry and fresh/frozen material, then execute extraction processes with precision
- 3Troubleshoot, maintain, and optimize extraction and lab equipment to ensure consistent performance and uptime
- 4Follow SOPs and GMPs while accurately documenting batch records and production data for compliance and consistency
- 5Safely handle hazardous materials like compressed gases and solvents using proper PPE and safety protocols
- 6Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant lab environment, including sterilization of glassware and equipment
- 7Support inventory management and ensure proper tracking of materials, chemicals, and lab supplies
- 8Collaborate with the lab team to meet production goals and support additional tasks such as packaging as needed
Requirements8
- 11+ years in production, manufacturing, or lab environment with a solid understanding of compliance and quality standards
- 2Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow SOPs and execute technical processes with consistency and accuracy
- 3Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks to meet production schedules
- 4Comfortable using computer systems for data entry, material tracking, and documentation
- 5Clear communication skills and the ability to collaborate in a team-driven environment
- 6Self-motivated and adaptable, with a proactive approach to learning new equipment and processes
- 7Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods in a C1D1 environment
- 8Willingness to wear required PPE including masks, hair nets, respirators, and Tyvek suits daily
