Cultivation Supervisor, Cannabis Operations
Overview
Own daily operations across a large-scale cannabis cultivation facility, managing one or more departments from cloning to harvest. Report to the Cultivation Manager and guide a team of 5+ growers to hit quality and compliance targets. You will direct environmental controls, irrigation, and nutrient systems to maximize plant health and yield. Curaleaf is a global cannabis leader, and this role offers hands-on influence over high-volume production. Your expertise will shape consistent, top-tier output in a GMP-aligned environment.
What You'll Do8
- 1Manage day-to-day cultivation operations, from cloning to harvest, ensuring workflow meets production goals
- 2Train and mentor team members on cannabis cultivation techniques, protocols, and state compliance
- 3Oversee irrigation, nutrient systems, and IPM programs to prevent pests and diseases
- 4Operate and adjust environmental control systems for optimal temperature, humidity, and light
- 5Maintain detailed records for SOPs and state regulatory compliance, updating logs daily
- 6Track department KPIs, analyze performance data, and implement improvements in yield and efficiency
- 7Schedule staff, conduct performance reviews, and coach employees to build a cohesive team
- 8Provide weekend and holiday coverage as part of a rotating on-call schedule
Requirements8
- 13+ years in cannabis cultivation with hands-on experience in cloning, vegetative, and flowering stages
- 22+ years managing teams of 5+ employees, including hiring, training, and performance management
- 3Expertise in multiple media types (soil, coco, hydro) and irrigation techniques
- 4Deep knowledge of light requirements, environmental controls, and crop rotation
- 5Ability to diagnose plant diseases, pests, and nutrient deficiencies and apply corrective actions
- 6Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for tracking inventory, yields, and compliance data
- 7Comfort with lifting 50 pounds and standing for long periods in a cultivation environment
- 8Familiarity with GMP standards and continuous improvement methods like Kaizen or Six Sigma is preferred
