Excavator Operator, Pipe Installation & Civil Construction
Overview
Operate heavy excavators for underground pipe installation on commercial and residential projects across Central Florida. You will own trenching, grading, and pipe placement for water, sewer, and storm systems. Work with a field team known for quality and safety since 1998. What You'll Do7
- 1Operate excavators for underground pipe installation, including water, sewer, and storm drainage systems.
- 2Prepare sites by removing existing structures, vegetation, and debris before excavation.
- 3Dig trenches to specified depth and width for pipe laying, maintaining proper grade and alignment.
- 4Assist with pipe positioning, leveling, and joining during installation.
- 5Perform routine maintenance and inspections on excavators and other heavy equipment.
- 6Follow all company and OSHA safety regulations to protect onsite personnel.
- 7Coordinate with project managers, foremen, and laborers to complete projects on schedule.
Requirements6
- 13-5 years operating excavators for pipe installation and excavation.
- 2Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications for pipe installation.
- 3Hold valid operator certifications and licenses per local, state, and federal rules.
- 4Lift heavy objects and perform strenuous physical tasks in all weather.
- 5Demonstrate strong safety knowledge and commitment to protocols.
- 6Communicate effectively and work as a team with a positive attitude.
Salary Insight
$42 - $56k per year
