You will install Ductile Iron Pipe on underground utility projects in the Tampa area, handling pipe from 4" to 60" at depths up to 20 feet. What You'll Do8
- 1Install Ductile Iron Pipe ranging from 4" to 60" in diameter for utility projects.
- 2Assemble Mechanical Joint, Fastite (Fast Tight), and Flanged Pipe systems following project specs.
- 3Work safely in excavations 5' to 20' deep, adhering to trenching and excavation safety practices.
- 4Collaborate with crew to align and join pipe sections, ensuring proper slope and positioning.
- 5Operate hand and power tools for pipe cutting, beveling, and joint assembly.
- 6Inspect pipe and fittings for damage before installation, reporting issues to supervisor.
- 7Follow daily schedules and travel to project sites as needed across the Tampa area.
- 8Maintain a clean and organized work area, securing tools and materials after each task.
Requirements7
- 12+ years installing Ductile Iron Pipe (DIP) in underground utility settings.
- 2Hands-on experience with Mechanical Joint, Fastite (Fast Tight), and Flanged Pipe systems.
- 3Comfort working in excavations 5' to 20' deep, with knowledge of trench safety.
- 4Reliable transportation and willingness to travel for projects.
- 5Strong work ethic and commitment to safety on the job site.
- 6Preferred: experience on municipal water, sewer, or utility projects.
- 7Ability to work effectively as part of a crew.
Salary Insight
