Journeyman Pipefitter, Commercial Piping & Layout
Overview
You will own commercial pipefitting projects across the Phoenix metro, from print reading to final assembly. Work with OSHA-10 and OSHA-30 certified crews on long-term builds. Report directly to the general foreman and collaborate with plumbers and welders. This role offers weekly pay, overtime, and immediate starts for skilled tradesmen.
What You'll Do8
- 1Read blueprints and isometric drawings to determine pipe layout and material specs
- 2Lay out and install commercial mechanical piping systems, including copper, steel, and PVC
- 3Measure, cut, thread, groove, and assemble pipe using hand and power tools
- 4Mount valves, fittings, hangers, and supports per spec and code
- 5Test piping systems for leaks and pressure integrity before sign-off
- 6Coordinate with other trades to keep project timelines on track
- 7Work independently on assigned tasks without direct supervision
- 8Maintain a clean and safe work area, following OSHA guidelines
Requirements8
- 14+ years of commercial pipefitting experience preferred
- 2Strong blueprint reading and layout skills
- 3Proven ability to install commercial mechanical piping systems
- 4Hands-on experience measuring, cutting, threading, grooving, and assembling pipe
- 5Working knowledge of valves, fittings, hangers, and supports
- 6Ability to work independently at a journeyman level
- 7Reliable transportation and consistent attendance
- 8OSHA-10 or OSHA-30 certification is a plus
