Event Specialist, Community Marketing & Homebuilding
Overview
You will plan and execute community grand openings, realtor events, model home events, and homeowner appreciation events for David Weekley Homes in Greater Houston. You will manage event logistics, vendor coordination, budgets, and on-site execution while ensuring brand standards. You will work with the Marketing Coordinator, Sales, Design Center, Construction, Land, and Purchasing teams to support community launches. This role drives traffic and sales through exceptional event experiences and requires occasional evenings, weekends, and travel. You will track performance metrics, evaluate event success, and improve future initiatives.

- 1Plan, coordinate, and execute community grand openings, realtor events, model home events, and homeowner appreciation events
- 2Manage event logistics including timelines, vendor coordination, budgets, permits, signage, rentals, catering, entertainment, and on-site execution
- 3Coordinate setup, maintenance, and presentation of events to reflect David Weekley Homes' brand standards
- 4Collaborate with Marketing Coordinator, Sales, Design Center, Construction, Land, and Purchasing to support community launches
- 5Assist with opening new communities by coordinating marketing readiness, events, and promotional activities
- 6Track event budgets, invoices, and vendor payments while maintaining accurate records
- 7Evaluate event performance through attendance tracking, lead generation, post-event analysis, and sales conversion to identify improvements
- 8Maintain project schedules and manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines
Requirements10
- 13+ years experience in event planning preferred
- 2College degree in Marketing, Event Management, Hospitality, or related field preferred
- 3Excellent organizational and time management skills
- 4Strong written and verbal communication skills
- 5Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail
- 6Creative problem-solving skills and flexibility in a fast-paced environment
- 7Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to learn new marketing and project management software
- 8Ability to establish strong working relationships with Sales, Construction, vendors, and community partners
- 9Ability to coordinate vendors and service providers while ensuring quality, timeliness, and budget expectations
- 10Ability to work independently and collaborate across departments, plus occasional evenings, weekends, and travel in Greater Houston
