Overview

You will design and implement the enterprise data architecture for a Columbus, Ohio-based organization, ensuring data integrity, scalability, and accessibility across all systems. You will define how data is stored, consumed, integrated, and managed, aligning with business objectives and technology standards. You will leverage modern cloud data platforms, including Snowflake, to support advanced analytics and business intelligence. Working fully remote, you will collaborate via Microsoft Teams with cross-functional teams to drive data strategy. This role offers the chance to own the data landscape end-to-end, from ingestion to consumption, in a data-driven organization.

What You'll Do8

  • 1Design and implement scalable data pipelines using Snowflake and ETL tools to support real-time and batch processing.
  • 2Define and enforce data architecture standards to ensure data integrity and consistency across all systems.
  • 3Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to optimize data models for performance and accessibility.
  • 4Drive migration of on-premise data warehouses to Snowflake cloud platform within the first 90 days.
  • 5Build and maintain data lake and warehouse schemas, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • 6Lead data integration initiatives, connecting RDBMS and NoSQL sources to central data platform.
  • 7Establish data governance frameworks for data quality, security, and compliance.
  • 8Mentor junior data engineers on best practices for data modeling and pipeline design.

Requirements8

  • 15+ years designing and implementing enterprise data architectures.
  • 23+ years hands-on experience with Snowflake and ETL pipelines.
  • 32+ years working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • 4Strong proficiency in SQL and data modeling (star schema, snowflake schema).
  • 5Experience with Python or Java for data processing.
  • 6Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 7Proven ability to define data governance and data quality standards.
  • 8Experience leading data migration projects from legacy systems to Snowflake.
