Senior Data Engineer, ETL & Cloud Analytics
Overview
You will own the design, development, and optimization of scalable data pipelines and cloud-based analytics solutions for mission-critical projects. This role centers on Python, SQL, and Spark to build modern data ecosystems. You will join a multidisciplinary team of architects, analysts, and engineers, collaborating on cloud platforms like AWS and Azure. Your work will directly support analytics, reporting, and operational workloads. This position requires 3+ years of hands-on experience and offers the chance to lead technical efforts in a federal consulting environment.
What You'll Do8
- 1Design and build scalable ETL/ELT pipelines supporting analytics and operational workloads.
- 2Optimize data architectures and models across cloud and hybrid environments using AWS and Azure.
- 3Develop data solutions with Python, SQL, and Spark for processing large datasets.
- 4Drive CI/CD pipeline implementation and DevOps best practices for data workflows.
- 5Lead data integration and migration initiatives, including legacy transformation projects.
- 6Ensure data quality, security, and governance standards are embedded in every solution.
- 7Monitor and troubleshoot production pipelines to maintain reliability and performance.
- 8Mentor junior engineers and share technical knowledge across project teams.
Requirements10
- 13+ years in data engineering, software engineering, or analytics engineering.
- 2Hands-on Python and SQL experience with data processing frameworks like Spark or PySpark.
- 3Proven experience building production-grade ETL/ELT pipelines.
- 4Expertise in relational and non-relational database modeling and query optimization.
- 5Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
- 6Familiarity with Databricks, Snowflake, or similar data processing environments.
- 7Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines using Git, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps.
- 8Ability to implement data quality, monitoring, and operational support processes.
- 9Experience working in Agile development environments.
- 10U.S. Citizenship or Green Card required with ability to obtain and maintain a Federal Public Trust clearance.
