We seek a motivated entry-level Trust & Estate Attorney with 0-3 years’ experience in estate planning and administration or elder law to join our growing legal team. Our firm helps individuals and families navigate complex life phases by planning legacies that avoid probate minimize estate taxes and address long-term care needs. What You'll Do9

  • 1Draft trust and estate planning documents including Last Will and Testaments Durable Powers of attorney Health Care Proxies Living Wills Deeds Trustee Certificates and Homesteads
  • 2Gather family and financial information for estate planning public benefit planning and applications as well as estate and trust administration purposes
  • 3Communicate with clients advisors heirs and beneficiaries to document key discussions and assign action items
  • 4Participate in probate and trust administration assisting senior attorneys with accountings and asset compilations
  • 5Support MassHealth applications by collecting supporting documents and reviewing financial statements
  • 6Research state probate laws and tax updates
  • 7Prepare correspondence and organize client files
  • 8Assist with special needs guardianships conservatorships and Medicaid for long-term care
  • 9Develop professional expertise in estate planning and probate law

Requirements6

  • 1Juris Doctor JD degree from an ABA accredited law school
  • 2Active bar admission or pending bar exam results in Massachusetts
  • 3Strong writing research and communication skills
  • 4Eagerness to learn estate planning and probate law with interest in elder law
  • 51+ years’ experience in estate planning or elder law preferred
  • 6High attention to detail and strong organizational habits
