Equipment Technician, CGM Manufacturing & Maintenance
Overview
The Equipment Technician role owns preventative and reparative maintenance of production and R&D equipment at Dexcom, supporting automated and electromechanical systems across multiple shifts. You will document work using RAM, Agile, and Track-It, and participate in IQ/OQ validations alongside engineering teams. This position is onsite in Phoenix, AZ and requires weekend coverage and flexibility to move between shifts. This role stands out by supporting cutting edge CGM technologies and contributing to global scale manufacturing and research efforts.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build and diagnose electromechanical test fixtures and prototype equipment to support design and validation efforts
- 2Perform preventive and reparative maintenance on production, manufacturing, and R&D equipment to minimize downtime and maintain GMP compliance
- 3Troubleshoot PLCs, robotics (6 axis), pneumatic, hydraulic and electro/ mechanical systems to isolate faults and implement fixes
- 4Maintain equipment documentation including PM/CM records, pass-downs, and IQ/OQ validations within RAM, Agile, and Track-It
- 5Assist in equipment moves setups and calibration using handheld tools and diagnostic instruments
- 6Support design, build, test, and checkout of test equipment and fixtures to enable engineering studies and validations
- 7Keep spare parts inventories and ensure compliance with Dexcom safety and LOTO programs
- 8Prepare and review equipment binders and documentation for audits and regulatory reviews
- 9Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to optimize equipment performance and reliability
- 10Report progress and issues to supervisors and project engineers to support continuous improvement
Requirements5
- 1minimum 4-6 years of related experience and high school diploma or equivalent
- 2familiarity with MS Excel, Word and Outlook and general computer skills
- 3ability to read and interpret equipment specifications, diagrams, schematics, and schedules
- 4experience with electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems including PLCs, robotics, and test equipment
- 5ability to perform equipment activities under supervision and work any shift including weekends
Salary Insight
$56 - $85k per year
