Overview
Own the calibration and preventive maintenance program for manufacturing equipment, fixtures, and tooling at a high-volume production site. Ensure all assets meet ISO standards and are available for production and inspection. Work within a cross-functional team of technicians and engineers to minimize downtime. This role directly impacts production quality and regulatory compliance, with opportunities to influence CMMS workflows and SOP adherence.
What You'll Do9
- 1Drive calibration of equipment, fixtures, and tooling before due dates, ensuring compliance with SOP and availability for manufacturing and inspection.
- 2Execute preventive maintenance tasks on schedule using ERP systems like SAP and CMMS to track work orders and asset history.
- 3Respond to unplanned maintenance requests within the same shift, diagnosing issues on CNC machines, pneumatic systems, and electrical circuits.
- 4Escalate repair needs beyond documented PMC coverage to Engineering, providing detailed observations and preliminary diagnostics.
- 5Document maintenance and calibration activities in ERP and CMMS to maintain audit-ready records.
- 6Collaborate with production and quality teams to schedule downtime for maintenance without disrupting output.
- 7Maintain spare parts inventory levels for critical equipment to reduce mean time to repair.
- 8Validate tooling and fixtures after calibration using CMM or laser alignment tools.
- 9Update PM procedures and work instructions based on hands-on findings and root cause analyses.
Requirements9
- 12-4 years maintaining manufacturing equipment in a GMP or ISO environment.
- 2Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, including troubleshooting PLC systems and motor controls.
- 3Experience with CMMS (e.g., Maximo, SAP PM) for work order management.
- 4Working knowledge of calibration standards and measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and height gauges.
- 5Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and SOPs.
- 6Familiarity with OSHA safety regulations and lockout/tagout procedures.
- 7Associate's degree in mechanical or electrical technology or equivalent military training.
- 8Willingness to work flexible shifts and overtime as needed.
- 9Certified in CPR/First Aid is a plus.
