Overview

You will own the cleanliness and sanitation of patient areas at the Miccosukee Health Center, ensuring a safe environment for patients and staff. You will work independently and with the EVS team, handling everything from patient rooms to dining areas. This role includes managing cleaning supplies and reporting maintenance needs. What You'll Do9

  • 1Maintain patient waiting room, exam rooms, observation rooms, hallways, and floors free of dirt, spills, and stains.
  • 2Sanitize patient areas with germicidal cleaning products to prevent the spread of contagious illnesses.
  • 3Clean and disinfect all restrooms and locker rooms, restocking supplies as needed.
  • 4Sweep, mop, scrub, and vacuum floors using appropriate equipment and techniques.
  • 5Empty trash and replace liners throughout the facility.
  • 6Dust furniture, walls, and equipment in patient areas.
  • 7Mix cleaning solutions and chemicals safely according to instructions.
  • 8Follow procedures for chemical cleaners and power machinery to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
  • 9Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and notify managers of repair needs.

Requirements9

  • 1High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 21-2 years custodial or similar work experience preferred.
  • 3Knowledge of standard cleaning methods and procedures.
  • 4Physical ability to stand, bend, or kneel throughout the work day.
  • 5Ability to perform repetitive motion for long periods.
  • 6Experience with cleaning equipment: vacuum cleaners, floor buffers, and cleaning solutions.
  • 7Background in handling, mixing, and using cleaning chemicals.
  • 8Knowledge of occupational hazard safety rules.
  • 9Certifications such as OSHA, Environmental, Safety, or Biohazard Cleaning preferred.
