Enterprise Architect, Government IT Infrastructure
Overview
You will own the enterprise architecture for a large-scale government IT infrastructure, shaping strategic planning and technology investments. You will coordinate with IT leaders and system owners to deliver a holistic architectural view using TOGAF and Zachman frameworks. Your work will guide system design, integration, and budget-constrained decisions across the enterprise. This role demands senior-level expertise in PMI, ITIL, CISSP, and Agile methodologies, with a focus on practical implementation. You will join a collaborative team dedicated to modernizing government operations through cutting-edge technology.
What You'll Do9
- 1Develop enterprise architecture blueprints that align IT systems with business mission goals across the government enterprise.
- 2Lead strategic planning sessions to capture requirements for IT investments and future technology roadmaps.
- 3Design integration approaches for Windows, SQL Server, VMware, and SAN storage within the existing infrastructure.
- 4Apply TOGAF and Zachman frameworks to document architecture views for system owners, developers, and subcontractors.
- 5Evaluate and recommend technical engineering practices based on successful prior system integrations.
- 6Coordinate configuration and change control processes using ITIL and Agile principles.
- 7Assess security and compliance requirements for CISSP, ISSO, and PKI implementations.
- 8Mentor junior architects and IT staff on best practices for enterprise architecture and system design.
- 9Produce clear architectural documentation and presentations for executive and technical audiences.
Requirements8
- 15+ years experience as an enterprise architect in large-scale government or enterprise IT environments.
- 2Demonstrated knowledge of PMI, ITIL, CISSP, SDLC, Agile, ISSO, Six Sigma, and CMMI processes.
- 3Hands-on experience with TOGAF and Zachman frameworks for enterprise architecture.
- 4Technical proficiency with Windows Desktop, MS Windows 7, SQL Server, VMware, EMC, SAN storage, and Cloud services.
- 5Experience with remote access technologies, Broadworks, Polycomm, BlackBerry, Apple iOS, and wireless systems.
- 6Strong understanding of information security, wireless networking, and system networking principles.
- 7Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work independently.
- 8Preferred: VMware server and VDI experience, PKI knowledge, Windows Server 2008R2, Cisco UCS, and PMP certification.
