
Enterprise Architect Data Transport NRO
Overview
Lead an Enterprise Architect team to define and deliver end-to-end data transport solutions for the National Reconnaissance Office. This is a non-supervisory role leading 2-3 contractors while shaping architecture across space ground application data facility infrastructure layers. The position involves strategic planning and investment decisions.
What You'll Do9
- 1Define end-to-end data flow architectures from collection to delivery
- 2Create layered architecture models spanning physical data link network and application layers
- 3Develop requirements for future architectures aligned to user needs and strategic intent
- 4Design redundant path architectures eliminating single points of failure
- 5Accommodate future growth through scalable design solutions
- 6Conduct architecture reviews with stakeholders to validate designs against mission requirements
- 7Utilize digital engineering models for complex system analysis
- 8Drive NRO architecture investments to address strategic challenges
- 9Explore new concepts and technologies for improved data transport capabilities
Requirements11
- 1Bachelor's degree in Professional Engineering or related field
- 2Sound understanding of intelligence satellite systems
- 3Expertise in multidisciplinary engineering concepts principles and practices
- 4Proven critical thinking and analytical writing skills
- 5Demonstrated project management and leadership abilities
- 6Desired knowledge of DoD and Intelligence Community organizations missions policies and processes
- 7Understanding of government acquisition processes
- 8Familiarity with digital engineering environments
- 9Qualifying experience may have been acquired in any public or private sector job
- 10Ability to reflect relevant experience in resume demonstrating successful performance
- 11Commitment to meeting two-page resume limit per OPM guidelines
