Engineering Technician, Advanced Manufacturing & Thermal Systems
Overview
You will own assembly, commissioning, testing, and debugging of advanced manufacturing equipment for high-performance thermal components and cooling loops used in AI, HPC, and mission-critical systems. Working alongside machine design and process engineers, you will shape equipment performance and reliability in a collaborative, high-standard culture. This role demands hands-on expertise with CNC laser cutters, web handling machines, and diffusion bonding furnaces. What You'll Do10
- 1Assemble and calibrate CNC laser cutters, web handling machines, and diffusion bonding furnaces to specification.
- 2Coordinate assembly tasks and manage inventory to keep production on schedule.
- 3Collaborate with engineers to document machine changes and resolve assembly challenges.
- 4Debug equipment issues and support design improvements for performance and ease of assembly.
- 5Build electrical control cabinets and wire machines to schematic standards.
- 6Set up and operate assembly or test fixtures for validation and production runs.
- 7Maintain accurate documentation of assembly processes and machine issues.
- 8Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on manufacturing and facilities equipment.
- 9Conduct basic machining operations for prototyping or part modification using mill, lathe, and CNC tools.
- 10Record data with internal tracking tools and provide actionable feedback for continuous improvement.
Requirements10
- 14+ years supporting industrial manufacturing equipment, automation systems, or capital equipment.
- 2Hands-on experience assembling and troubleshooting complex electromechanical systems.
- 3Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and product specifications.
- 4Experience with machine maintenance, equipment debugging, and basic machining on mill, lathe, or CNC.
- 5Strong sense of workmanship and ownership over assigned systems.
- 6Proficiency in following procedures and documenting data accurately.
- 7Comfort with hands-on work, using tools, and running equipment.
- 8Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.
- 9High school diploma, technical certification, or associate degree in a technical discipline; equivalent hands-on experience considered.
- 10Experience using CAD to view models and drawings; familiarity with vacuum, laser, hydraulic, or robotics preferred.
