Overview

What You'll Do10

  • 1Execute preventive maintenance on HVAC systems, including filter changes, coil cleaning, and refrigerant checks, within the first 90 days.
  • 2Diagnose and repair plumbing issues, replacing fixtures and piping to restore water flow and prevent leaks.
  • 3Troubleshoot electrical components such as receptacles and ballasts, ensuring safe operation per code.
  • 4Repair appliances and household fixtures, from washers to refrigerators, to keep guest rooms functional.
  • 5Patch and paint interior and exterior walls, including texturing and caulking, to maintain aesthetic standards.
  • 6Replace tiles, grout, vinyl, and carpet in guest areas, addressing wear and tear promptly.
  • 7Balance chemicals and clean pools, spas, and water features, maintaining CPO compliance.
  • 8Track work orders and inventory using HotSOS and other resort systems, ensuring parts availability.
  • 9Communicate with guests and staff via radio and phone, resolving maintenance requests professionally.
  • 10Use ladders, scaffolding, and PPE safely while performing tasks at heights.

Requirements9

  • 11-3 years hands-on experience in trades or maintenance within a resort or commercial setting.
  • 2CPO license required, as mandated by the resort.
  • 3High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 4Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • 5Ability to lift, move, or push up to 50+ pounds regularly.
  • 6Proficiency with hand and power tools, including battery-operated equipment.
  • 7English communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • 8Strong problem-solving and guest service orientation.
  • 9Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
