You will own preventive maintenance and general repair across the property, ensuring luxury standards for guests in the heart of Boston's Back Bay. What You'll Do8
- 1Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems to ensure optimal operation.
- 2Respond to guest repair requests within the first 90 days, resolving issues with carpentry, painting, and appliances.
- 3Inspect and maintain fire safety equipment and lighting fixtures to meet code and luxury standards.
- 4Assist with room renovations and furniture assembly, coordinating with the engineering team.
- 5Troubleshoot and repair boilers, pumps, and motors to minimize downtime.
- 6Document all maintenance activities in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- 7Collaborate with the front office to schedule maintenance without disrupting guest experience.
- 8Maintain tools and equipment, ensuring a clean and safe work environment.
Requirements8
- 12+ years experience in general maintenance or a similar engineering role.
- 2Ability to work independently and as a self-starter, with a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
- 3Must be fluent in English and possess legal work authorization in the United States.
- 4Knowledge of general repair techniques across carpentry, painting, and plumbing.
- 5Experience with electrical systems and HVAC is preferred.
- 6Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for occasional off-site tasks.
- 7Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
- 8Availability for overnight shifts as required.
