Overview
You will lead drafting and negotiation of EPC agreements for large-scale energy and infrastructure projects across conventional, renewable, and nuclear sectors. You will join a top Am Law firm's nationally recognized practice, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams on project financing and development. 2-7+ years of construction law experience is required, with preference for Houston-based candidates. This role offers $235,000-$420,000 base salary, bonus eligibility, and a comprehensive benefits package.
What You'll Do8
- 1Draft and negotiate EPC agreements for major energy and infrastructure projects.
- 2Prepare and negotiate O&M, procurement, supply, and construction agreements.
- 3Advise clients on project development, construction, and execution phases.
- 4Represent owners, developers, contractors, and lenders in domestic and international transactions.
- 5Support projects in conventional oil and gas, renewable energy, and nuclear sectors.
- 6Identify and mitigate commercial and legal risks across the project lifecycle.
- 7Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on project financing and commercial transactions.
- 8Provide practical legal advice on contract administration and project delivery strategies.
Requirements8
- 1J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar admission.
- 22-7+ years of construction law experience, preferably in energy or infrastructure.
- 3Experience drafting and negotiating EPC, O&M, or procurement agreements.
- 4Experience with conventional, renewable, or nuclear energy projects preferred.
- 5Excellent drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
- 6Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- 7Strong academic credentials with high motivation.
- 8Houston-based candidates preferred but other listed offices considered.
