Overview
Join a leading Am Law firm's nationally recognized Energy & Infrastructure practice as an EPC Associate Attorney. You will own complex engineering, procurement, and construction agreements for large-scale domestic and international projects across conventional energy, renewable energy, and nuclear sectors. What You'll Do7
- 1Draft, review, and negotiate EPC agreements for major energy and infrastructure projects in your first 90 days.
- 2Prepare and negotiate O&M, procurement, supply, and construction agreements for project owners and developers.
- 3Advise clients on all phases of project development, from feasibility through execution, mitigating commercial and legal risks.
- 4Represent owners, developers, contractors, lenders, and other participants in sophisticated domestic and international transactions.
- 5Support projects involving conventional oil and gas, renewable energy, nuclear power, and other infrastructure developments.
- 6Collaborate with finance and development teams on project financing and commercial structuring.
- 7Deliver practical legal advice on contract administration and project delivery strategies, ensuring compliance and risk mitigation.
Requirements8
- 1J.D. from an accredited law school with active bar admission in the jurisdiction where you practice.
- 22-7+ years of construction law experience, preferably with energy or infrastructure projects.
- 3Proven track record drafting and negotiating EPC, O&M, procurement, or similar complex construction agreements.
- 4Experience with conventional oil and gas, renewable energy, nuclear energy, or other large-scale infrastructure projects strongly preferred.
- 5Excellent drafting, negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- 6Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities with strong academic credentials.
- 7Highly motivated, with ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced transactional practice.
- 8Preference for candidates based in Houston, though qualified candidates in other listed offices will be considered.
