Overview
Join InstaMed EMS as an EMT or Paramedic in the Houston Metropolitan area. You will respond to emergency and non-emergency calls, providing patient care and transport, operating at a scale of thousands of calls per year. You will work alongside a dedicated team of first responders, backed by newer ambulances and modern equipment. This role offers flexible scheduling, including weekdays and weekends, and a clear pay scale: $19/hr for basics, $23/hr for intermediates, and $28/hr for paramedics. What You'll Do8
- 1Respond to emergency calls in the Houston area, including patient assessment and stabilization, using ALS and BLS protocols.
- 2Operate ambulances safely and efficiently, ensuring compliance with state and local regulations while navigating high-traffic environments.
- 3Administer basic life support and advanced life support as required, including medication administration per Texas guidelines.
- 4Document all patient interactions and care provided, maintaining accurate charts and records using EMR systems.
- 5Coordinate with dispatch and hospital staff to ensure seamless patient handoffs, maintaining communication throughout the transport.
- 6Perform daily vehicle and equipment checks, restocking supplies and reporting any mechanical issues to ensure readiness.
- 7Provide compassionate patient care, explaining procedures and offering reassurance to patients and family members during transit.
- 8Train and mentor new EMTs and Paramedics, sharing best practices in patient care and emergency response.
Requirements8
- 1Certified EMT by the State of Texas (Basic, Intermediate, or Paramedic level).
- 2U.S. Citizen (as required for position).
- 3Valid Texas driver's license with a clean driving record.
- 4Current CPR certification (Healthcare Provider level).
- 5Ability to lift and carry up to 125 lbs (assisting patients and equipment).
- 6Completion of an accredited EMT or Paramedic training program.
- 7Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- 8Strong interpersonal and communication skills for teamwork and patient interaction.
Salary Insight
