EMT, Nights & Emergency Care - Healthcare Support in Hollywood
Overview
EMT leads urgent patient care in the Emergency Department at a major hospital system. You’ll perform EKGs, vital signs, splinting, and assist with patient comfort and safety. You will stock supplies, operate hospital equipment as directed, and support clerical tasks while maintaining a clean, safe unit environment. This role supports critical care teams in a fast paced setting and offers opportunities to impact patient outcomes.
What You'll Do5
- 1Build accurate patient records by measuring weights and vital signs and documenting changes in condition
- 2Assist licensed nurses with EKGs, splinting, wound care, and patient transport to support timely care
- 3Maintain infection control and HIPAA compliance while keeping patient privacy and comfort at the forefront
- 4Manage unit inventory and equipment, ensuring PAR levels and timely delivery of non stock items
- 5Support daily operations with accurate documentation, inventory control, and safe discharge or transfer of patients
Requirements7
- 1High School Diploma or Equivalent
- 2EMT Certification and AHA Basic Life Support
- 3English communication and customer service skills
- 4De escalation certification upon hire; SAMA Certification required upon recertification
- 5Certification in Hospital Fire and Life Safety Card (Los Angeles City Employees only)
- 6Preferred one year experience in an acute care facility
- 7Bilingual skills to communicate with patients and families
