Overview

You will own your emergency veterinarian schedule at Creekside Pet Care Center, a 24/7 AAHA-accredited hospital in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex. Choose shifts that fit your life, from overnights to day shifts, with no employment contract and paid for every hour worked. You will join a collaborative emergency team supported by advanced diagnostics, surgery, and critical care capabilities. What You'll Do8

  • 1Build your own schedule from available shifts, including overnight, swing, and day options, to match your availability and desired hours.
  • 2Deliver emergency, urgent, and preventive care to patients using advanced diagnostics and critical care capabilities in a fully equipped 24/7 hospital.
  • 3Collaborate with experienced technicians and support staff to manage challenging cases in real time, ensuring high-quality patient outcomes.
  • 4Communicate openly with the medical team to coordinate patient care across shifts and maintain continuity.
  • 5Practice emergency medicine with full autonomy but with the backing of a supportive team, avoiding the isolation of relief work.
  • 6Earn high hourly compensation for every hour worked, with no requirement to finish unpaid cases.

Requirements8

  • 1DVM or VMD degree from an accredited veterinary school.
  • 2Current state veterinary license in Texas or ability to obtain one before start.
  • 32+ years of experience in emergency veterinary medicine, with ability to manage critical cases independently.
  • 4Proficiency in emergency procedures, including surgery, ultrasound, and advanced life support.
  • 5Availability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • 6Strong communication skills for collaborating with pet owners and hospital staff.
  • 7Commitment to high standards of patient care and AAHA guidelines.
  • 8Experience with ezyVet or similar veterinary practice management software is a plus.
