UrgentVet bridges the gap between daytime general practice and emergency/overnight care, offering after-hours care for canine and feline patients without the additional expense of emergency clinic fees. Our hospitals offer care for common urgent cases, including wound management, ear infections, vomiting/diarrhea, and euthanasia. Each of our paperless clinics is specially designed to deliver efficient care and equipped with cloud-based EMR, digital x-ray, and a full suite of IDEXX in-house lab equipment. This part-time role provides flexible hours including evenings weekends and holidays. Ideal candidate demonstrates professionalism dependability healthy and positive communication skills and the ability to multi-task in a hands-on environment. Energetic people-and-pet person with excellent work ethic and social and organizational skills willing to travel for on-site training and onboarding prior customer service experience prior animal hospital setting must be able to lift 40 lbs. Regular on-site presence is essential due to the nature of veterinary hospital operations. In-person attendance supports patient care responds to time-sensitive needs collaborates with clinical teams and maintains safety and well-being of patients clients and staff. What You'll Do11

  • 1Build scalable patient intake systems using Spark and Airflow
  • 2Design efficient workflows for wound management and ear infection treatment
  • 3Lead daily operations during peak hours ensuring timely care delivery
  • 4Ship critical medications and supplies within tight timeframes
  • 5Drive adoption of cloud-based EMR best practices across clinic
  • 6Own laboratory testing processes using IDEXX equipment
  • 7Collaborate with veterinary technicians to improve diagnostic accuracy
  • 8Maintain cleanliness and organization in high-traffic areas
  • 9Educate clients on post-operative care and medication compliance
  • 10Assist with facility maintenance during shift transitions
  • 11Participate in team meetings to share process improvement ideas

Requirements10

  • 15+ years building ETL pipelines with Spark and Airflow
  • 23-5 seasons managing complex medical records systems
  • 3CPC Card certification preferred
  • 4BCBA credential valued
  • 5AWS Certified relevant experience
  • 65+ years animal handling experience including patient restraint sample collection and monitoring
  • 7Clinical skills such as phlebotomy catheter placement and drug calculation
  • 8Flexible availability for evening weekend and holiday shifts
  • 9Strong organizational abilities to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • 10Physical stamina to lift 40 pounds regularly
