What You'll Do10

  • 1Build and execute diagnostic and therapeutic plans for emergency cases including routine and complex surgeries
  • 2Ship urgent cases quickly through VEG Triage and Spikes to ensure patients see a doctor immediately
  • 3Own medical records, notes, and documentation with accuracy and clear communication to clients
  • 4Perform ultrasound, X-ray, bloodwork, biopsies, and endoscopic procedures as needed
  • 5Lead client education on aftercare, preventive care, and treatment options with empathy
  • 6Drive high-quality patient care and outcomes while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team
  • 7Manage anesthesia and surgical suites during emergency procedures
  • 8Coordinate with clients on estimates and financial considerations for treatment options
  • 9Support a respectful hospital culture by mentoring teammates and sharing knowledge
  • 10Scale hospital capabilities through proactive case management and continuous learning

Requirements8

  • 1DVM or equivalent degree
  • 2Live and practice emergency medicine including emergency surgery and endoscopy
  • 3Ability to stand for prolonged periods, kneel, and lift up to 25 kg solo and up to 40 kg with assistance
  • 4Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays on a rotating basis
  • 5Ability to work in a fast-paced, diverse team environment
  • 6Demonstrated empathy and commitment to patient- and client-centered care
  • 7Comfort with a noisy environment and strong odors
  • 8Strong communication skills for client interactions and team collaboration
