Overview
You will own electrical maintenance for a nested crew at Pemex in Deer Park, TX. You'll plan layouts, install and repair wiring, fixtures, and control equipment across 600V to 69kV systems. You'll report to the Foreman and execute assigned duties per procedures, with work checked frequently. This role requires NFPA 70e certification and a Texas electrical apprenticeship license. It's a non-exempt role that combines skilled hands-on work with strict safety compliance.
What You'll Do8
- 1Plan new or modified installations to minimize material waste and ensure future maintenance access.
- 2Prepare sketches showing wiring and equipment locations, or follow diagrams and blueprints, ensuring concealed wiring before walls and floors close.
- 3Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble, and install electrical conduit.
- 4Pull wiring through conduit and splice wires to ensure secure connections.
- 5Connect wiring to lighting fixtures and power equipment, and install grounding leads.
- 6Install control and distribution apparatus, including switches, relays, and circuit breaker panels.
- 7Test circuit continuity to verify electrical compatibility and safety, and observe equipment operation for hazards.
- 8Repair faulty equipment or systems, and perform additional assignments as directed by the supervisor.
Requirements8
- 1High school diploma or equivalent.
- 21-4 years of experience in specified skill depending on mechanic level.
- 3Current NFPA 70e certificate of training (2024 standard).
- 4Texas electrical apprenticeship license.
- 5Working on or above 600V or 69kV industrial high voltage distribution systems requires qualification.
- 6Most job sites require NCCER certification for A-class Electricians.
- 7Pass post-offer drug/alcohol screen, physical evaluation, and sign acceptance of the Turner Industries Drug, Alcohol and Contraband Policy.
- 8Comply with company and client job site safety requirements, and must not pose a direct threat to health or safety of others.
