Electrician for Sign Installation
Overview
You will own the electrical installation, wiring, and troubleshooting for commercial sign projects across Houston, from new builds to renovations. Working with high-voltage systems and NFPA 70 compliance, you will ensure every sign meets code and performs reliably. You will join a tight-knit crew of electricians and project managers who value safety and precision. What You'll Do7
- 1Install and wire electrical components of signage systems on construction sites and renovation projects.
- 2Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to plan accurate wiring.
- 3Perform high-voltage electrical connections and terminations per NFPA 70 and local codes.
- 4Troubleshoot sign electrical faults using multimeters, ohmmeters, and diagnostic tools.
- 5Diagnose issues in commercial and industrial electrical systems, identifying root causes and fixes.
- 6Follow all electrical safety procedures, including OSHA standards and NEC guidelines.
- 7Coordinate with project managers and contractors to meet installation timelines and project milestones.
Requirements7
- 13+ years of industrial electrician experience in commercial electrical installation and maintenance.
- 2Hands-on experience with high-voltage wiring on construction sites or in industrial facilities.
- 3Proven ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics for accurate installation.
- 4Working knowledge of NFPA 70, NEC, and local electrical codes.
- 5Experience troubleshooting complex systems with multimeters and ohmmeters.
- 6Understanding of low-voltage wiring for signage and high-voltage safety protocols.
- 7Familiarity with PLCs in industrial automation is a plus.
