Electrician Job Boston | JLL Electrical Maintenance
Overview
You will own electrical maintenance for JLL's commercial facilities in Boston, covering power distribution, lighting, and emergency backup systems across multiple sites. You'll work with facility managers and contractors to keep systems running, from routine repairs to emergency shutdowns. This role suits a licensed Electrician who thrives on hands-on troubleshooting and preventive maintenance. You'll gain exposure to CMMS and BMS systems while ensuring safety and compliance in a dynamic real estate environment.
What You'll Do8
- 1Diagnose and repair electrical faults in power distribution, lighting, and emergency systems within your first week.
- 2Maintain electrical work orders and purchase orders using CMMS and BMS platforms.
- 3Coordinate with contractors and vendors for scheduled maintenance and emergency repairs.
- 4Perform preventive maintenance on electrical panels, motors, and switchgear to minimize downtime.
- 5Monitor building automation systems and adjust settings for optimal energy efficiency.
- 6Respond to emergency electrical outages and system shutdowns, restoring service safely.
- 7Document all repairs and inspections in detailed reports for facility management.
- 8Assist with project planning for electrical upgrades, including material sourcing and budgeting.
Requirements8
- 12+ years of commercial or industrial electrical maintenance experience.
- 2Valid Electrician's License in Massachusetts.
- 3Hands-on knowledge of CMMS, BMS, and Fire Life Safety systems.
- 4Proficiency in reading electrical blueprints and schematics.
- 5Skilled in safe work practices for energized systems, heights, and confined spaces.
- 6Strong customer service and safety orientation.
- 7Ability to travel within assigned geographic territory.
- 8High school diploma or GED.
