Overview
We seek a skilled Journeyman Electrician to install maintain and repair electrical systems across commercial industrial and renovation projects. What You'll Do7
- 1Install inspect troubleshoot and repair electrical wiring fixtures and equipment per blueprints schematics and NEC standards
- 2Read interpret technical drawings and schematics to execute installations and repairs
- 3Utilize hand tools power tools and multimeters such as ohmmeters to diagnose issues and verify system integrity
- 4Maintain safety on construction sites following high voltage low voltage and general electrical protocols
- 5Collaborate with project managers contractors and trades like frame carpentry or handyman teams
- 6Program PLCs for automation systems in industrial settings
- 7Perform maintenance on existing electrical systems in commercial or industrial environments while ensuring NEC compliance
Requirements9
- 1Valid Journeyman Electrician license or certification demonstrating comprehensive electrical knowledge and experience
- 2Proven experience as an industrial electrician or commercial electrician on construction sites or renovation projects
- 3Strong understanding of schematics blueprints and technical diagrams related to electrical systems
- 4Proficiency with hand tools power tools schematic reading and testing devices such as ohmmeters
- 5Experience working with low voltage and high voltage systems in accordance with safety standards
- 6Familiarity with NEC regulations governing electrical installations and safety practices
- 7Ability to work effectively in physically demanding environments requiring standing climbing ladders/scaffolding and handling heavy equipment
- 8Hands-on experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) schematics interpretation renovation projects and construction site protocols
- 9Additional skills such as frame carpentry or handyman experience are considered a plus
