Engineering Technician supports development and production of Optical Communication Terminals for space-based defense applications. Based in Orlando FL. What You'll Do14
- 1Provide technical support to engineering and development teams throughout product development and production phases
- 2Collaborate with engineers to develop and refine troubleshooting strategies and methodologies
- 3Assist engineers and manufacturing engineers with work instruction redlines and ECR/ECO process
- 4Support test engineers in developing improvements of test procedures
- 5Diagnose and resolve complex issues in EO systems down to the component level
- 6Identify root causes of performance issues and implement effective solutions
- 7Document test failures in the failure reporting system and provide detailed analysis
- 8Maintain up-to-date records of equipment calibration and maintenance
- 9Generate detailed technical reports and analyses based on measurement data
- 10Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
- 11Train new test technicians and serve as technical resource for production teams
- 12Perform optical or electrical testing and characterization as specified by work instructions
- 13Conduct tests to evaluate performance of EO & laser components and systems
- 14Support assembly testing debugging and rework during product lifecycle phases
Requirements11
- 1Associates or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering Electronics Engineering Technology Photonics or related field
- 2Minimum of 5 years hands-on experience as an electronics technician or engineering technician
- 3Proven experience with optical and electro-optical test stations equipment
- 4Experience troubleshooting EO and digital circuitry down to component level
- 5Familiarity with multimeters signal generators spectrum analyzers oscilloscopes and optical power meters
- 6Ability to support engineering teams in product development or manufacturing environments
- 7Strong understanding of electro-optical principles and measurements
- 8Proficiency in using EO test equipment and software
- 9Experience reading and comprehending detailed written and verbal instructions
- 10Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- 11Ability to work independently and as part of a team
