What You'll Do6

  • 1Receive discrimination and bullying complaints, investigate fully, and recommend corrective action to charging parties' supervisors.
  • 2Coordinate administrative processes to resolve all EEO and ADA complaints filed by DPSCS employees.
  • 3Draft detailed responses to EEOC and Maryland Commission on Civil Rights complaints, ensuring legal sufficiency.
  • 4Own cases from start to finish, managing workflow and updating templates, SOPs, and policy directives.
  • 5Write memos and communications for the OFPI Executive, summarizing casework and findings.
  • 6Maintain accurate case records, compile EEO reports, and share them for Executive Director review.

Requirements8

  • 15+ years of administrative staff or professional work.
  • 2Substitute a Bachelor's degree plus 1 year of administrative experience for the full experience requirement.
  • 3Substitute a Master's degree for the full experience requirement.
  • 4Substitute 30 credit hours from an accredited college for each year up to four years of experience.
  • 5Substitute commissioned officer military service for equivalent experience on a year-for-year basis.
  • 6Experience conducting EEO, civil rights, or workplace misconduct investigations and writing legally defensible reports.
  • 7Experience interpreting federal and state EEO laws, regulations, and standards of proof.
  • 8Possession of a motor vehicle operator's license valid in Maryland, if assigned driving duties.
