Overview

What You'll Do10

  • 1Attach and connect electrodes on the head from EEG machine
  • 2Perform prescribed testing and educate patients about procedures
  • 3Monitor and document patient condition responding to seizure symptoms
  • 4Identify and correct artifacts in recorded data
  • 5Edit and forward results to attending physician for analysis
  • 6Perform long-term video EEG monitoring using the International 10-20 system
  • 7Follow guidelines for EEG and Long Term Neuro-Diagnostic Monitoring in Epilepsy
  • 8Conduct data retrieval and reduction operations
  • 9Prepare video EEG recordings for physician interpretation
  • 10Maintain accurate patient records and ensure safety protocols

Requirements5

  • 1High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • 2Graduate of or enrolled in an Electro-neuro-diagnostic technology program accredited by CAAHEP
  • 3Experience with medical technologies TECH
  • 4Commitment to patient centered care and family support
  • 5Ability to work in high stress environments with minimal supervision
