Registered EEG Technologist will perform long-term monitoring (LTM) and routine EEGs at CHI St Lukes Health in Houston, TX. Work 12-hour day shifts (Sun-Tue, 7a-7p) with a 13-week contract and potential extension. Join Vitana Healthcare for travel pay of $52/hour plus per diems (if eligible). What You'll Do8
- 1Perform routine and long-term EEG monitoring using EEG equipment and video monitoring systems.
- 2Set up and calibrate electrode montages per facility protocols, ensuring high-quality signal acquisition.
- 3Monitor and adjust EEG recordings in real time, troubleshooting technical issues to maintain data integrity.
- 4Collaborate with physicians and nursing staff to coordinate patient care and EEG scheduling.
- 5Document patient history, clinical observations, and technical notes in the electronic health record.
- 6Adhere to safety and infection control policies, maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
- 7Educate patients and families on the EEG procedure, addressing questions and ensuring comfort.
- 8Participate in on-call or extended shift coverage as needed, supporting continuous monitoring needs.
Requirements8
- 13+ years of experience as an EEG Technologist.
- 2Active Registered EEG Technologist (R.EEGT) via ABRET required.
- 3Certified Long-Term Monitoring (CLTM) via ABRET required.
- 4Valid TX state license for EEG Technologist.
- 5Current BLS certification (AHA required).
- 6Valid Driver's License for travel to assignment.
- 7Willingness to work 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (Sun-Tue, 7a-7p).
- 8Ability to commute to Houston, TX 77030.
