What You'll Do11
- 1Design treatment plans using computer and manual computations to achieve optimal beam geometry
- 2Identify and contour normal and dose-limiting structures across multiple imaging datasets
- 3Create reference images and localization markers for portal verification and IGRT
- 4Supervise simulation and tumor localization using CT MRI and PET imaging devices
- 5Plan fabrication of compensation filters custom shields wedges and other beam modifying devices
- 6Coordinate production of molds casts and immobilization devices
- 7Communicate with radiation therapists regarding treatment parameters and device usage
- 8Perform dose calculations and document findings in patient records
- 9Verify mathematical accuracy of all calculations using approved methods
- 10Maintain knowledge of anatomy physiology clinical oncology radiobiology and radiation safety
- 11Utilize healthcare informatics resources to manage clinical data
Requirements8
- 1Bachelor's degree preferred
- 2HDR BrachyVision certification required
- 3Board certification by MDCB
- 45+ years experience with radiation oncology treatment machines
- 5Proficiency in anatomy physiology clinical oncology radiobiology and radiation physics
- 6Knowledge of healthcare informatics and data management systems
- 7Strong communication skills for interdisciplinary collaboration
- 8Ability to work in diverse global team environment
