Overview
As a Door Technician you’ll diagnose, repair, and install commercial door and entrance systems for facilities in Middle Tennessee. You’ll partner with a collaborative team to ensure facilities stay open, secure, and code-compliant while upholding our core values. Expect hands-on work on automatic, manual storefront, revolving, and related entrance products in diverse environments. This role blends field craftsmanship with customer communication and continuous improvement.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build and install automatic doors, manual storefronts, revolving doors, and entrance systems on-site
- 2Meet with customers before and after work to review scope, findings, and preventive recommendations
- 3Document dispatches, work orders, notes, and time logs in electronic systems and submit parts requests promptly
- 4Maintain parts and materials on the service vehicle and keep the jobsite organized and safe
- 5Follow OSHA, AAADM, and company safety standards ensuring doors leave sites code compliant

- 7Communicate clearly with facility managers to ensure set-it-and-forget-it door performance
- 8Troubleshoot mechanical and low-voltage electrical issues with hand and power tools

Requirements8
- 1High-school diploma or GED
- 2Valid driver’s license with clean record
- 3Able to pass background check and drug screen
- 41+ year installing or servicing automatic/commercial doors or related trades
- 5Mechanical aptitude and comfort with hand/power tools
- 6Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and participate in on-call rotation
- 7Ability to lift up to 75 lbs, climb ladders, and work in varying environments
- 8Desire to learn and grow with a Better Every Day culture
