District Coordinator Psychological Services | School Psychology
Overview
You will coordinate psychological services across Broward County Public Schools, serving 270,000+ students and 300+ schools. You will report to the ESE Support/Compliance department and drive compliance with state and federal regulations. You will lead a team of school psychologists, manage crisis response, and shape district-wide mental health initiatives. This role requires 5+ years in school psychology and Florida Certification in School Psychology. You will work onsite in Miami, Florida.
What You'll Do9
- 1Direct the delivery of psychological services across 300+ schools, ensuring compliance with IDEA and state mandates.
- 2Supervise a team of 50+ school psychologists, providing coaching and professional development.
- 3Lead crisis intervention protocols for district-wide emergencies, coordinating with school administrators and community partners.
- 4Design and implement multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS) for student mental health.
- 5Collaborate with ESE directors to align psychological services with IEP goals and student outcomes.
- 6Manage the budget for psychological services, allocating resources for assessments and interventions.
- 7Develop and update district policies on psychological testing, student records, and confidentiality.
- 8Serve as liaison to the Florida Department of Education, reporting on program effectiveness.
- 9Coordinate with universities to establish internship programs for school psychology candidates.
Requirements8
- 1Master's degree in school psychology or related field from an accredited institution.
- 25+ years of progressively responsible experience in school psychology or related field.
- 3Valid Florida Certification in School Psychology.
- 4Demonstrated leadership capabilities as a school psychologist.
- 5Understanding of the roles and functions of school psychologists within the Exceptional Student Education Department.
- 6Ability to coordinate services across various departments effectively.
- 7Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- 8Computer skills as required for the position.
