Dispatcher, Transportation Operations & Scheduling
Overview
You will coordinate all transportation services for WelbeHealth's vulnerable seniors, managing daily schedules, dispatching drivers, and ensuring seamless participant rides. You'll work with DriverMate and HUB systems to track trips, handle cancellations, and support clinic teams. This role is different because you'll integrate into a whole-person care model, directly impacting participant dignity and access to care. You'll provide weekend coverage as needed.
What You'll Do7
- 1Build daily transportation schedules, adjusting for cancellations, add-ons, and last-minute requests using DriverMate.
- 2Dispatch drivers in real time, prioritizing urgent changes and participant needs.
- 3Maintain a daily call log for operational tracking and team communication.
- 4Monitor and respond to HUB inquiries and operational requests within minutes.
- 5Update schedules based on Direct Line changes and communication.
- 6Document cancellations or no-shows immediately and alert clinic teams to missed appointments.
- 7Coordinate weekend dispatch coverage as required.
Requirements6
- 1High school diploma or equivalent; professional experience may substitute.
- 24+ years working in public or private transportation settings.
- 32+ years in a dispatcher role, coordinating vehicles and drivers.
- 4Valid state driver's license and vehicle insurance.
- 5Pass DMV pull notice, DOJ/FBI background check, DOT physical exam, and random alcohol/controlled substance testing.
- 6Maintain eligibility under WelbeHealth's commercial auto insurance: generally 25+ years or 23-24 with acceptable history; 70+ requires current medical certification.
