As a National Logistics Capacity Planner, you sit at the center of an unpredictable, deadline-driven environment. You will think on your feet, balancing detail and big-picture scale. What You'll Do7

  • 1Communicate professionally with drivers via phone calls and system messages, internal and external.
  • 2Plan loads for assigned market areas and customer accounts.
  • 3Pair empty or soon-unloading trucks with freight needing pickup, and confirm assignments with drivers.
  • 4Balance trailer pool inventory by routing outbound drivers from surplus regions to deficit areas with surging coverage needs.
  • 5Monitor loads, resolving issues that affect scheduled pickup or delivery times, and communicate proactively with affected customers.
  • 6Generate regular and ad-hoc reports as required.
  • 7Handle high volumes of inbound email effectively.

Requirements8

  • 1Transportation or Logistics experience.
  • 21+ years in a dispatch or planning role.
  • 3Strong computer skills in a Windows environment, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • 4Ability to handle high volumes of inbound email.
  • 5Effective presentation skills.
  • 6Bachelor's degree from an accredited university (preferred).
  • 7Knowledge of time/distance geography (preferred).
  • 8Familiarity with AS/400 operating system (preferred).
