DISHWASHER, Food Service & Kitchen Support
Overview
This role maintains dishes, utensils, and food prep surfaces in a fast kitchen environment at a major venue. You will support the back-of-house by keeping the dish areas clean, organized, and sanitary. You will work with a team in shifts that include evenings and weekends.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build and maintain clean dish areas and equipment to ensure sanitation
- 2Wash pots, pans, and trays using approved procedures
- 3Polish silverware and maintain utensil quality with proper methods
- 4Clean surfaces, floors, and storage areas to meet safety standards
- 5Transfer supplies between storage and work areas and assist with loading/unloading
- 6Assist with waste removal and garbage hygiene, including sanitation of garbage cans
- 7Support kitchen staff by providing clean and ready dishes and utensils for service
- 8Follow safety procedures and manage chemical and water temperatures per standards
- 9Assist with other duties as assigned by supervisor
- 10Maintain overall cleanliness and organization of the dishwashing area
Requirements10
- 1Previous dishwashing experience preferred
- 2Willing to train new hires
- 3Ability to work full-time or part-time hours including nights and weekends
- 4Pay range: 17.00 to 19.00 per hour
- 5Onsite location: Longwood Gardens, Kennett Square, PA
- 6Must be able to follow safety and sanitation guidelines
- 7Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- 8Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
- 9Compliance with company policies and dress code including gloves and proper footwear
